About Tamarack Industries
Tamarack Industries, formerly Crown Construction Equipment, was founded in 1995 in Winnipeg, MB. Tamarack is a family owned business that has been proudly supporting the construction and rental industries throughout the US and Canada for almost 30 years.
Heat King, our glycol heating division, began with the development of the HK500 (now the HK600). The HK500 was the most powerful glycol heating system at the time, being used for concrete curing, ground thawing, and space heating. It was followed up with the HK150 and HK300. Build to order LP/NG options of the HK300 and HK600 were then offered as a response to growth in the oil and gas industry. Heat King continues to be a trusted name in the rental, construction, and resource sectors due to the reliability and durability of the products, and our great customer service.
In 2018, Tamarack purchased Thawzall LLC, a manufacturer of glycol and flameless heat products in Alexandria, MN. We remained committed to retaining the design of Thawzall products while enhancing their reliability and quality. Our Heat King line had already been used for multiple types of applications in the rental, construction, and the resource sectors throughout North America for over 20 years. Thawzall’s flameless product fit in perfectly with our existing Heat King products. Having parts and service centers now both in Canada and the US, we’ve been able to provide even better technical assistance and faster parts deliveries.
Heat Assault was created when we noticed a gap in the bed bug eradication industry that we could fill. We already had the heating technology, and we saw a lack of reliable and strong heat treatment options on the market. We engineered the Heat Assault to provide the most effective heat treatments you can get. A one of a kind solution, that has proved itself in the industry as the only treatment available this efficient at safely removing full infestations.
We want to build and maintain long lasting relationships with our customers, and we pride ourselves on having exceptional customer support and training. Most of our product improvements and new product ideas have come from listening and acting on what we hear. After decades and thousands of units on the market, we have learned the importance of optimizing design using superior manufacturing techniques (Design for Manufacturing). This has allowed us to produce high quality, reliable, and competitive products. We have found that listening to customers combined with engineering is the key to producing equipment that is simple to not only manufacture, but to use, maintain, and repair as well.
We’ve worked hard to build our reputation of delivering reliable, safe, and simple machines. We never stop looking for new and inventive ways of improving our products, to ensure they are increasingly efficient and economical for our customers to operate and maintain.
