Tamarack’s Sustainability Policies, Guidelines, and Program Description
1. Diversity and Inclusion Policy:
Tamarack Industries is committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace where all employees are treated with respect and provided equal opportunities. We will promote diversity at all levels of the organization and ensure that hiring, promotion, and advancement decisions are based solely on merit and qualifications.
Workplace Harassment and Safety Program
· Ensure that the workplace harassment and safety training is rolled out during onboarding.

2. Supply Chain Sustainability Policy:
Tamarack Industries will work towards building a sustainable supply chain by collaborating with suppliers who adhere to ethical and environmental standards. We will prioritize suppliers that demonstrate a commitment to social responsibility, fair labor practices, and environmentally conscious manufacturing.
Sustainable Supply Chain Program:
· Develop and implement Approved Vendors Program and conduct regular supplier assessments to evaluate their product cost, delivery and quality standards which includes sustainability practices.
· Work only with suppliers who are working with fair labor practices, who clear socially responsible business and who are environmentally conscious.
3. Public Sustainability Reporting Policy:
Tamarack Industries will publish an annual sustainability report to transparently communicate our environmental and social performance to stakeholders. This report will detail our progress towards sustainability goals and highlight initiatives taken to address challenges.
Public Sustainability Reporting Program:
· The Quality, Health and Safety and Environment to oversee the sustainability program and report on all relevant KPIs that will ensure sustainability of the organization.
· Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and measure sustainability progress, such as carbon emissions, waste reduction, and energy usage.
4. Greenhouse Gas Emission Reduction Policy:
Tamarack Industries will actively measure, monitor, and reduce its greenhouse gas emissions. We will implement energy-efficient techniques and technology like Lean Manufacturing that will reduce wastes like transportation.
Greenhouse Gas Emission Reduction Program:
· Implement 5S across the different sites and reduce transportation or movement of materials in the facility.
· Audit movements of materials and establish KPI to ensure reduction of transportation that causes greenhouse gas emissions like forklifts, trailers and other fossil fuel consuming equipment.
5. Energy and Water Usage Reduction Policy:
Tamarack Industries will strive to reduce energy consumption and water usage in all operations. We will implement energy-efficient practices, conduct regular audits, and invest in technologies that contribute to energy and water conservation.
Energy and Water Reduction Program:
· Conduct energy and water audits to identify areas for efficiency improvements.
· Implement energy management systems and smart technologies to optimize energy usage.
· Educate employees on the importance of energy and water conservation and involve them in identifying potential energy-saving initiatives.
6. Waste Reduction Policy:
Tamarack Industries is committed to reducing waste generation and promoting responsible waste management practices. We will explore ways to minimize waste at the source, prioritize recycling initiatives, and implement waste-to-energy conversion processes.
Waste Reduction Program:
· Implement a waste segregation program to ensure proper disposal and recycling of waste materials.
· Establish partnerships with recycling companies to recycle materials that are challenging to handle in-house.
· Promote the use of reusable or recyclable materials in product design and packaging.
7. Ethical Business Practices Policy:
Tamarack Industries will uphold the highest ethical standards in all business dealings. We will comply with all applicable laws and regulations, maintain integrity in financial reporting, and avoid any engagement in corrupt or unethical practices.

· Conduct regular ethics training for employees to reinforce ethical decision-making and compliance with company policies.
· Establish a confidential ethics hotline or reporting system for employees to report potential ethical violations anonymously.
· Implement a robust system for monitoring and auditing financial transactions to detect any irregularities.
8. Import and Export Policies:
Tamarack Industries will ensure that all import and export activities comply with international trade laws and regulations. We will actively monitor changes in trade policies and assess their impact on sustainability goals. Tamarack Industries will consider sustainability factors in its import and export decisions, such as the environmental impact of transportation methods and the social responsibility practices of trading partners.
Tamarack Industries will comply with applicable export and import laws and regulations, including the international sanctions program of Canada and the U.S. Department of Treasury, as well as any other applicable government agency in Canada, the U.S. or abroad.
Tamarack Industries prohibits imports and exports of goods that have been manufactured by any form of forced labor or human trafficking, as well as hazardous work for individuals under 18 years of age.
A. Sustainable Transportation Initiative:
Objective: Reduce the environmental impact of transportation in import and export activities.
Program Details:
· Prioritize the use of low-carbon transportation methods such as sea freight or rail transport whenever feasible.
· Encourage suppliers and logistics partners to adopt eco-friendly transportation practices.
B. Green Packaging Initiative:
Objective: Minimize packaging waste and promote eco-friendly packaging solutions.
Program Details:
· Encourage the use of recyclable and biodegradable packaging materials for imports and exports.
· Optimize packaging design to reduce material usage and increase transportation efficiency.
· Work with suppliers and customers to implement returnable and reusable packaging solutions where possible.
C. Local Sourcing and Fair-Trade Initiative:
Objective: Support local communities and fair-trade practices in exporting countries.
Program Details:
· Promote the sourcing of raw materials or products from local communities, whenever feasible and economically viable.
· Invest in community development projects to improve the well-being of local communities involved in the supply chain.
9. Stakeholder Engagement Policy:
Tamarack Industries will engage with stakeholders, including customers, employees, investors, and local communities, to understand their sustainability concerns and integrate their feedback into our sustainability strategy.
Stakeholder Engagement Program:
· Organize a quarterly town hall meetings with customers, employees, and other stakeholders.
· Conduct surveys and interviews to assess community needs and concerns, and develop initiatives to address them.
10. Continuous Improvement Policy:
Tamarack Industries will continuously review and improve sustainability practices and ensure its operational execution through Lean Manufacturing. We will set measurable goals, regularly assess performance, and adapt strategies to achieve our sustainability objectives effectively.
Continuous Improvement Program:
· Establish a continuous improvement program to focus on waste reduction, sustainability of the business and protection of it’s employees.
· Encourage employees to submit continuous improvement and innovative sustainability ideas through a suggestion system or an internal competition.
· Recognize and reward employees and teams that demonstrate exceptional commitment to sustainability.
11. Compliance and Governance Policy:
Tamarack Industries will establish clear governance structures and assign responsibilities for sustainability initiatives. We will ensure compliance with all relevant sustainability regulations and frameworks.
Compliance and Governance Program:
· Develop and Implement the Sustainability and Continuous Improvement Program of the Company and designate a leader for overseeing the implementation of the sustainability policies and guidelines.
· Conduct regular internal audits to ensure compliance with sustainability regulations and company policies.
